Lab Scanned Documents |

Laboratory started adding description comments to the scanned laboratory reports for non-interfaced referral testing. The comment will display the abbreviated name of the tests (following the naming conventions used in Expanse) on the report, up to and including the first 3 tests on the report. More than 3 tests will be noted as “and others”. |

“Start Up” Voice Command |

A single voice command called “Start Up” is now available in Nuance Dragon to open MEDITECH Expanse, Synapse and Plexia. Additional applications (e.g. Outlook) can be added to launch with the command. A tip sheet is attached with instructions on how to insert your Plexia URL and add additional applications. |

Activity Log in Acute Status Board |

The Activity Log will be filtered to only include diagnostics, vital signs, ins/outs, provider notes and nurse/allied health notes. It will no longer include med administration, assessments, workload items and administrative tasks. |
This simplifies the information in the Activity Log. All information is still available in the patient’s chart. |

A Sexual Assault Note template will be available and includes instructions on appropriate use. Please note that the report will only be distributed to the author of the report and any providers that are added as Additional CC’s. |

The Any Location list in the Acute Status Board can now be used to view outpatient appointments for future dates In consultation with MEDITECH, it was determined that this functionality should have been available and is now working as intended. |

Imaging Convenience Order Sets

In addition to the CT Scan Convenience order set that is already available, the following imaging convenience order sets will now be available: Aliases will also be added to individual MR, MM and US orders |
Imaging orders will be easier to find for physicians. Order sets will sort by body part. |

Flowsheet Requests |
Flowsheet requests can come through JIRA and will include a physician lead assisting with the development. Flowsheets will go to the relevant committee and PLC for approval. |

Sign Queue |
A request (JIRA 12685) was submitted to have the sign queue orders not pre-selected. This was reviewed at PLC and a decision was made to leave the sign queue as is and not implement the requested change. |
